Sep 07, 1995: -- McClinton, James Released --

The Dolphins announced yesterday that they have waived Fullback Lee McClinton off of the regular squad and Center Jason James off of the practice squad.

Also in the news, for anyone who hasn't heard, Running Back Brent Moss has been signed to the practice squad of the St. Louis Rams.

My Comments:

The Dolphins probably waived James to make room on the practice squad for McClinton. However, the reason for waiving McClinton is not clear. It frees up a roster spot, but there don't seem to be any indications that the Dolphins are after anyone else.

I'm sure we'll find out.
