Dolphins' News: Armstrong aquired from Bears
*** DOLPHINS NEWS ***
Apr 04, 1995: -- Armstrong aquired from Bears --
ESPNet announced this afternoon that the Dolphins had completed a
trade with the Chicago Bears for defensive end Trace Armstrong. The
Bears will get a second and third round draft pick (#56 and #87) in
return for Armstrong.
Armstrong had 7.5 sacks last year, leading the Bears. A proven
veteran, Armstrong was selected 12th overall in the 1989 draft by the
Bears.
My Comments:
The Dolphins do need help in the pass rushing department, but I
wonder if Armstrong is the answer. It will be interesting to see if
the Dolphins will start him in front of Coleman. My own personal
opinion is that it is more likely that he'll be a backup to Coleman
and will replace him on passing downs.
